Harry Hutchins – M.L. “Sonny” Moss Artist of the Year

Harry Hutchins is in his second year as the assistant band director at A&M Consolidated High School. Before this role, he served as percussion director at Paetow High School in Katy, Texas, and spent 10 years at Mayfair High School in Lakewood, California, followed by 3 years at Downey High School in Downey, California. During his tenure at Mayfair High School, the marching band program earned 1st place in their division at the California State Band Championships in 2019, and 2nd place in both 2018 and 2017.

 

Mr. Hutchins has also contributed to multiple independent marching ensembles, including Gold Drum and Bugle Corps (2019), Genesis Drum and Bugle Corps (2023), and Santa Clara Vanguard Cadets (2022). He is currently working with The Blue Knights.

 

A 2016 graduate of Berklee College of Music, Mr. Hutchins enjoys spending his free time with his wife Lily, daughter Hannah, and writing music.
