Win a Scholarship to the National Air Plein Convention and Expo

For 10 aspiring artists (ages 17 – 25) a life-changing opportunity to study with 75 top art experts, including Benjamin Knox (Texas A&M class of ’90). This regional scholarship competition is hosted by The Benjamin Knox Art Gallery.

 

 

How to Enter:

• Deadline: March 10, 2025
• Submit 3 landscapes (Preferably landscapes) and an artists bio explaining your dedication to pursuing a career as a professional artist

 

Key Dates: 

• March 28th, 2025: Winners announced at Last Friday Benjamin Knox Art Gallery
• April 25th, 2025: Winners’ artworks will be displayed at the Benjamin Knox Art Gallery during Last Friday

 

Scholarship details:

• 10 scholarships will be awarded, waiving the registration fee of $1297
• Each winner will receive a personal introduction, guidance, and critique from artist Benjamin Knox at the convention
• The First Place Prize additionally includes:
  • Hotel room for 4 nights ($1000 Value)
  • Bus ticket for paint-outs($400 value)
  • An easel to display and sell artwork at the convention ($100 value)
