After 20 years, The Theatre Company is thrilled to bring CABARET back to the Brazos Valley. In a Berlin nightclub as the 1920’s draw to a close, a Master of Ceremonies, played by the incomparable Tyler Lewis, welcomes the audience and assures them they will forget all their troubles at the Cabaret. With the Emcee’s songs as wry commentary, CABARET explores the dark and tumultuous nightlife of Berlin’s, as Germany slowly yields to the emerging Third Reich.Cliff (NEWSIES’ George Joubran) is a young American writer who arrives in Berlin and soon meets the iconic Sally Bowles, played by TTC newcomer Ava Bates. Their story overlaps with Fräulein Schneider (MAMMA MIA’s Kristy Petty), Herr Schultz (Danny Wiseman in his TTC debut), and several others in our story. With iconic musical numbers including “”Willkommen,”” “”Cabaret,”” and “”Mein Herr,”” CABARET asks the question – what would you do?
