Texas Arts and Music Festival
The ninth annual Texas Arts and Music Festival will be held in downtown historic Brenham, Texas, on October 18th thru the 20th. The free festival will feature live music, an art village, pop-up art galleries, a juried art show, two live mural paintings and much more.
The festival is excited to announce four bands playing Saturday the 19th on the main stage this year, with headliners and crowd favorites Jomo and The Possum Posse from Austin. The main stage musical lineup also includes indie rock from Susto out of Austin, Texas Country from Willow Creek Junction out of Magnolia and Texas blues and rock from 16 year old Kane Alvarado from Bryan.
The festival will be adding two murals to the growing collection in downtown Brenham. Artist announcements will be made next week.
“Visitors and locals have enjoyed the murals throughout the years and we’re always excited to watch these large walls unfold throughout the weekend,” said Mark Rosenbaum, Board President. We are also adding a juried art show with entries from all over the Brazos Valley. “Mark your calendars and invite your friends, we’ll have activities going on all weekend that are free and open to the public! This is an event that everyone will enjoy as we showcase downtown Brenham with Texas music and art.”
Texas Arts and Music Festival is a local non-profit organization dedicated to providing a first class event for art and music lovers, and raising money for local art programs. The festival has provided support to art programs in Brenham, Burton, and Sealy.
