“The Spirit of the Place,” Presented by 41@100: A Celebration of George H.W. Bush

Developed in conjunction with the George & Barbara Bush Foundation’s 41@100: A Celebration of George H.W. Bush, this exhibit will explore the George H.W. Bush Presidential Center’s place in our community and its impact on the world. From the initial conversations to place the Bush Library & Museum at Texas A&M University, to the full development of the Bush Presidential Center, visitors will discover how President Bush and his ongoing legacy are intertwined with the Spirit of Aggieland.

Additionally, The Spirit of the Place will explore all of the ways George & Barbara Bush have supported the community that embraced them with open arms. Using artifacts, documents, photographs, and other materials, visitors will get a never-before-seen look at George Bush’s vision for creating a world-class cultural institution dedicated to public service right here in the heart of Texas.

Celebrating the 100th anniversary of George H.W. Bush’s birth, The Spirit of the Place will be on exhibit in the Ansary Gallery of American History beginning on June 10, 2024, until March 30, 2025.

Throughout the exhibit, the George & Barbara Bush Foundation, the George H.W.
