Unity Theatre | 2026 Summer Drama Camps
This summer, the spotlight is waiting. Unity Theatre is excited to announce its 2026 Summer Drama Camps, offering students entering grades 2 through 12 the opportunity to explore creativity, build confidence, and experience the excitement of live performance. Each camp is designed to meet students at their level, whether they are stepping onto the stage for the very first time or ready to take on a full production experience.
Creative Dramatics for students entering grades 2 and 3 will be held July 6 – 10, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. This one-week theatre camp immerses young performers in imagination, movement, and theatre games while fostering ensemble skills and team spirit.
Students will explore storytelling and creative expression in a supportive and energetic environment. The week concludes with a showcase performance for family and friends on Saturday, July 11 at 10:00 a.m. Tuition for Creative Dramatics is $180 per student.
Playbuilding for students entering grades 4 through 6 will also take place July 6 – 10, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. During this collaborative camp, students will work together to create an original piece of theatre while developing skills in character development, storytelling, and improvisation. Campers will experience the creative process from brainstorming to performance, culminating in a showcase for family and friends on Saturday, July 11 at 12:00 p.m. Tuition for Playbuilding is $180 per student.
Acting in Performance Jr. for students entering grades 4 through 6 will run July 13 – 26, 2026. The first week meets Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., and the second week meets Monday through Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (lunch breaks will be included). During the first week, students will develop acting skills and strengthen their stage presence. In the second week, campers will be cast in supporting roles in Unity Theatre’s summer musical production of Sleeping Beauty and will perform in four of the eight scheduled performances. Performances will be held July 23 – 26, with shows at 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. on Thursday and Friday, and 1:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Campers will be assigned to either the early or late performance group. Tuition for Acting in Performance Jr. is $275 per student.
Acting in Performance: Showcase for students entering grades 7 through 12 will be held July 6 – 18, Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (lunch breaks included). This two-week intensive camp gives students the opportunity to experience the full production process from audition to final performance. Participants will audition, be cast, rehearse, and perform in a black box production of “This Girl Laughs, This Girl Cries, This Girl Does Nothing” by Finegan Kruckemeyer presented on Unity Theatre’s main stage. Performances will be held Friday, July 17 at 7:00 p.m. and Saturday, July 18 at 2:00 p.m. Tuition for Acting in
Performance: Showcase is $375 per student.
