Psycho Screening at the Kimbell Building | The Queens Film Society
Recommended by one of The Queens’s Film Society’s interns. A secretary on the run, carrying stolen money and a head full of second thoughts, stops for the night at a quiet roadside motel. There she meets its soft-spoken proprietor, a young man whose awkward charm and devotion to his unseen mother hint at tensions just beneath the surface. What begins as a story of guilt and escape soon shifts, without warning, forcing the audience to question what they think they understand about control, morality, and human behavior.
Critical and commercial success that received four Academy Award nominations (Director, Supporting Actress, Cinematography, Art Direction). Janet Leigh won the Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actress, while the film was recognized by the Edgar Allan Poe Awards.
