Set in the fictional Iranian ghost town of Bad City, Ana Lily Amirpour’s directorial debut unfolds in an atmospheric and haunting world, where a mysterious young woman roams the desolate streets at night. Amirpour’s film combines elements of horror, romance and the Western to create a poetic narrative that explores themes of isolation and desire.
