Texas Arts & Music Festival Call for Artists 2025

Juried Art Show |  Texas Arts and Music Festival

The Texas Arts & Music Festival (TAMF) is hosting its second annual Juried Art Show as part of our festival activities. The art show will be accessible during festival operating hours, with an opening on the evening prior.

Opening: Friday, October 17

Show: Saturday & Sunday, October 18 & 19

Location: The Laundry Event Hall
209 S Market St, Brenham, TX 77833

Any artist can apply. All forms of 2-Dimensional work are acceptable for entry. 3-Dimensional work is also welcome, provided the artist can supply display accommodations.

Submissions are $10 each, with no limit on the number of individual submissions per artist. The submission fee is non-refundable, even if your art is not selected for this year’s juried art show.

If artwork is selected, artists must drop off and pick up their work in person between Sunday and Wednesday, the week of the show. Drop-off and pick-up must be handled by the artist or a pre-assigned contact.

Artists are welcome to sell their pieces but will need to manage sales independently. All artwork must remain on display until the end of the event on Sunday afternoon, even if a sale takes place.

Art Requirements:
Artwork must be able to hang. Dimensions must not exceed 36 inches on any side and must weigh under 10 lbs. Art must have a hanging system in place, or permissions to add hanging apparatus to the back of the work as needed.

All content needs to be appropriate for public consumption of all ages. Please avoid explicit, violent, or offensive visual subjects.

Placement judging will occur prior to the show opening by a group of professional, non-partisan artists, including this year’s featured muralists.

Awards for Placed Winners:
First Place: $300

Second Place: $150

Third Place: $75

Art Auction:
The Texas Arts and Music Festival is a nonprofit, free event dedicated to supporting the arts in our community and enhancing our local education system, with the goal of leaving lasting beauty in Washington County.

We rely solely on volunteers and donations.

This year, we are asking our fraternity of artists to contribute small art donations for participation in our first-ever Silent Art Auction, which will take place during the event.

Anyone who applies to the Art Show and is accepted will qualify to donate an art piece for this auction. Participation is not mandatory; however, anyone who donates will automatically qualify for a free booth space (a $200 value).

Additional information will be sent to artists participating in the Juried Art Show once selections are announced.

Applications are open and will close on September 21st. Selected works will be announced by September 24th.
