Navasota Artists In Residence

Spring 2021 Call for entries is now closed. Thank you to everyone who applied!

The Arts Council has partnered with the City of Navasota for an Artist In Residence program in the quaint community just 25 minutes south of College Station on Hwy 6. The Navasota Artists in Residence program gives three artists the opportunity to live and create art at the Horlock Art Gallery & History Museum. The house features living quarters, studio space, and gallery space, combining to create a unique experience and atmosphere for the artists.

The City of Navasota provides amenities including internet, cable, electricity, retail space and live/work space free of charge to selected artists with the purpose of providing artists the opportunity to create and sell their work. Each artist will also receive a one-time $600 stipend at the beginning of the residency to assist with groceries, fuel, and supply purchases.
Visit the Navasota Artist In Residence website and read their blog!
Follow the Navasota Artists in Residence on Facebook to meet the artists and to see what they're working on!
