Organists, Students to Perform at Saint Andrew'sEnjoy performances by local organists and students of the Brazos Valley Music Teachers Association during May First Friday at Saint Andrew’s Episcopal Church in Downtown Bryan. The recitals will be at 6:30, 7, 7:30 and 8 p.m. Also on the program will be student artwork related to dance. During breaks between performances there will be time to tour the church stained glass windows, ring the bell and have a look at the organ console with an expert. The event is free and open to the public.

Harmonia Carta

Harmonia Carta, a new vocal ensemble based in Bryan-College Station, will be the featured performers for the Plass Recital’s final 2 p.m. concert May 14 at Saint Andrew’s Episcopal Church in Downtown Bryan. Their debut recital will feature chamber music, including works by composers Mendelssohn and Schubert. The concert is free and open to the public.

The Live Art Student Showcase is part of Venture, a week of events from the School of Performance, Visualization and Fine Arts. It will feature creations from students in the Seminar in Performance Theory course, including experiments in performer/audience relationships and explorations of the cognitive and emotional experience of live performance. The event is April 27 at 1 p.m. at Rudder Forum.
