At our annual Empty Bowls, Jr. event, individuals who donate $10 for a bowl will also receive a simple (and delicious) bowl of soup and bread, generously donated by participating Taste of B-CS members and local restaurants, as a reminder of all the empty bowls in our community. This years event took place Saturday, March 2 from 11:00am to 1:30pm at Allen Honda located at 2450 Earl Rudder Fwy South in College Station, Texas. Check back later to see when and where Empty Bowls, Jr. will take place next!
Empty Bowls, Jr. began in 2013 as a way to directly support local in-school food pantries and The Arts Council programs. Students and art educators from more than 25 Brazos Valley schools have created hundreds of handmade, artistic bowls to donate for this event with the purpose of “kids helping kids.” Together, we can end hunger in the Brazos Valley! So bring your family, friends, and neighbors to this amazing event that helps fund in-school food pantries.
Missed empty bowls this year? Empty Bowls, Jr. bowls are still available at The Arts Council for a minimum donation of $10. Come check out some awesome pottery made by local BCS students!
Empty Bowls Jr. 2019 Recap
2019 had another amazing turnout at Empty Bowls, Jr. Students and teachers from 28 participating Brazos Valley schools worked together to sell 700 bowls! The Arts Council, Allen Honda, Bryan Broadcasting were able to raise over $12,000 for five in-school pantries and Arts Council programs. We could not have done it without you!
