Empty Bowls Jr.
Join us at Allen Honda Saturday, March 2, 2024 from 11:00am – 1:00pm for Empty Bowls Jr.! Enjoy delicious soup from local restaurants, music by Bryan High Mariachi Band and A&M Consolidated Middle School Orchestra, and handmade bowls by students in the Brazos Valley. With the goal of “kids helping kids”, all proceeds from this event support local in-school food pantries and Arts Center Children’s Programs.
We’re looking for volunteers to help make the event go smoothly! Whether you’re flying solo or rallying a group, we’ve got plenty of ways for you to make a difference. Serve up some delicious soup, direct traffic in the parking lot, set up or take down equipment—we’ll find the perfect role for you. And the best part? Every volunteer gets a handmade bowl to take home, plus a hearty cup of soup to enjoy.
Volunteer for Empty Bowls Jr.
Empty Bowls, Jr. began in 2013 as a way to directly support local in-school food pantries and The Arts Center programs. Students and art educators from more than 25 Brazos Valley schools have created hundreds of handmade, artistic bowls to donate for this event with the purpose of “kids helping kids.” With your help, struggling families can afford to feed their loved ones.
At Empty Bowls, Jr. you can help end hunger, enjoy a variety of entertainment, and view handmade, artist bowls created by Brazos Valley students and teachers. For every $10 donation, receive a bowl and a cup of delicious soup provided by our amazing restaurant sponsors! All proceeds from this event will benefit local in-school pantries and Art Center Children Programs.

How to Receive Empty Bowls Jr. Funding
Brazos Valley Educators, Bryan Broadcasting Company, Allen Honda and The Arts Center have teamed up to raise funds through the Empty Bowls, Jr. event in support of Brazos Valley school food pantries. These awards can be used for facility needs as well as food supplies. School food pantries in the Brazos Valley are encouraged to apply for funding.
