Harpist, Flutist to Play at historic Saint Andrew’s Harpist Elizabeth Brownlee and flutist Wendy Isaac Bergin will be the featured Plass Recital Series musicians Sunday, Sept. 12 at Saint Andrew’s Episcopal Church in Downtown Bryan. The free program begins at 2 p.m. in the historic church founded in 1867. Brownlee has served as second harpist with the Houston Symphony Orchestra and played under such conductors as Andre Previn and Sir John Barbirolli. Bergin has played with Houston’s Opera in the Heights and served on the faculties of Prairie View A&M University, the University of Houston-Downtown and Blinn and Lee colleges. The program will range from classical music to British folk music. Masks required.

Intersections Textile Learning Center & Gallery (2116 S.College Ave, Bryan, TX 77801) will be hosting our "Saturday Play Days" each 2nd and 4th Saturday of the Month. On Saturday, September 25, 2021 our workshop will be featuring organza flowers for pins or embellishment for other projects. We ask that everyone interested in joining us to register via email a week in advance. The cost of the workshop is $7.50 per participant for the materials. Intersections Textile Learning Center & Gallery (2116 S.College Ave, Bryan, TX 77801) will be hosting our "Saturday Play Days" each 2nd and 4th Saturday of the Month. On Saturday, September 4, 2021 our workshop will be working with Kumihimo braiding. All of our workshops are open to the public and this one is particularly geared to children ages 6 to 96.We do ask that everyone interested in participating to register a week in advance so that we can have the materials ready for the workshop.
