S-P-O-R-T-S-P-L-A-Y is a community-based installation performance confronting, celebrating, and challenging these traditions.  In collaboration with departments on campus and community members, multidisciplinary artist Mike Durkin will present a series of hybrid performance works focused on the intersection between sports (football), community, and campus. The performance will consist of community-building, dance, theatre, storytelling, installation, and athletics created and presented by students, faculty, and staff modeled after a tailgate occurring in spaces near Kyle Field.

 

The Festival Hill Gala 2022

This is the first annual fundraising gala for the esteemed institution founded in 1971. The celebration, scheduled for Saturday, April 9, 2022, will take place in a lavish tent on the grounds of the Institute and feature live music, a sumptuous catered dinner and more. Tables are available at various contribution levels for individuals, groups and businesses. Katrina and Mark Elvig are serving as Co-Chairs of the event. Loosely based on a comedy written in 405 B.C.E. by Aristophanes, The Frogs playfully explores the great challenges of human existence. Enjoy this hilarious musical and its takes on confronting our fears, achieving our goals, and understanding life, death, love, and of course.... Frogs.
