Brazos Valley Chorale

Brazos Valley Chorale will celebrate their return to the stage with a concert series featuring Norwegian composer, Ola Gjeilo (YAY-lo) symphonic mass- Sunrise. As the musical themes move from heaven to earth, the Chorale will explore a single movement in each of their four concerts. Ticket information will be available soon.  Watch for an announcement on our website, bvchorale.org.

The Second Shepherd's Play

Enjoy Comic Christmas Play on Saint Andrew’s Steps in a rollicking start to the Christmas season, students from Blinn College-Bryan will perform The Second Shepherd’s Play Dec. 3 at Saint Andrew’s Episcopal Church in Downtown Bryan. Using the front steps of the church as the stage, the play will be performed at 6 and 7 p.m. The Second Shepherd’s Play uses texts that are 500 years old and features both comic and spiritual themes. Bring a blanket or chair and enjoy the event.

 

Pat Cook's The Man Who Wanted to be Santa Claus

Navasota Theatre Alliance presents Pat Cook's The Man Who Wanted to be Santa Claus, directed by Janice Kerlee. Performances will be at Navasota Sunny Furman Theatre, December 2-5 and 9-12. Thursday and Friday performances are at 7:00 PM and Saturday and Sunday performances are 2:00 PM matinees. From singing messengers to lovesick reporters, this holiday comedy goes a long way to prove things aren’t always what they seem to be. Unity Theatre presents "A Tuna Christmas" a comedy by Jaston Williams, Joe Sears and Ed Howard, playing on the MainStage December 2 - 19, 2021. In this hilarious sequel to Greater Tuna, it's Christmas in the third smallest town in Texas. Radio station OKKK news personalities Thurston Wheelis and Arles Struvie report on various Yuletide activities, including hot competition in the annual lawn display contest. In other news, voracious Joe Bob Lipsey's production of "A Christmas Carol" is jeopardized by unpaid electric bills. Many colorful Tuna denizens, some you will recognize from Greater Tuna and some appearing here for the first time, join in the holiday fun. Please note that masks are optional with the exception of two performances. To accommodate the comfort of all of our patrons, masks will be required for the performances on Saturday, Dec 11 and Sunday, Dec 12.
