Classes for Children and Teens

Let your child explore their creative side and discover new hobbies during The Arts Council’s Art After School program. Held each Fall and Spring, your child will learn new techniques, tricks of the trade, and enjoy creating their own master pieces! Classes fill up fast, so make sure you register soon!

Classes are taught by Rose Santos. Rose is an art educator who has worked in three different school districts teaching art at both the elementary and secondary levels over the past 13 years, currently teaching in Bryan I.S.D. She has a Bachelor of Arts from Baylor University, a Master of Science from Texas A&M University -- Corpus Christi, and her Ph.D. from Texas A&M University.

Art After School – Spring 2018

Who: For young artists ages 6-11 (must be 6 by the time class starts)
When: Thursday afternoons from 4:15-5:45pm
Where: The Arts Center studio (2275 Dartmouth St in College Station)
Dates: February 1 - April 26 (no class on March 15th for Spring Break)
Cost: $150 for 12-week semester or $80 for 6-weeks
(Cost includes all supplies and taxes)

February 1 & 8: Faux stained-glass heart paintings
February 15 & 22: Britto-inspired animal drawings
March 1 & 8: O'Keeffe spring flowers
March 15: NO CLASS
March 22 & 29: It's a Peter Rabbit Life (watercolor/oil pastel drawings)
April 5 & 12: Picasso portrait paintings
April 19 & 26: Tropical Dreamscapes
