Navasota Blues Festival

Navasota Blues Festival

In 1996 the idea for the Navasota Blues Festival, Inc. was born as a way to keep blues music alive, as well as bring together local and regional musicans to perform in an annual celebration. The founders decided that proceeds from the festival should help fund the Mance Lipscomb Scholarship, which is awarded to a graduating student at Navasota High School to help that graduate with his/her college career. The founding of the Navasota Blues Festival was inspired by the example of Mance Lipscomb’s musicianship and his gracious character.
