The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) is responsible to and partners with the Board of Directors in
the advancement of the overall success and sustainability of The Arts Council through the
development of relationships and cultivation of donors. This includes the growth of private and
public resources, accountability for the vibrancy of programs, quality of partnerships and The
Arts Council’s impact throughout the Brazos Valley. The CEO will serve as the organization’s
chief spokesperson, clearly articulating The Arts Council’s mission, vision and values while
increasing the awareness of the organization both regionally and statewide. The CEO will be at
the forefront of regional initiatives that strengthen the vibrancy of local communities and the
arts, culture and heritage organizations within.
The Visitor Center Manager & Events Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring that visitors and guests have a positive experience while at The Arts Council’s galleries and visitor center. They will be responsible for recruiting and managing artist studio and event rentals.
The Arts Council seeks an intern to assist in all aspects of marketing including event promotion and execution, social media, gallery show promotion, website maintenance, monthly newsletters, general advertising design, development and networking. Students interested in careers with non-profits, arts agencies, small businesses, or in marketing should apply.
