The Arts Council of Brazos Valley’s Annual Program Operating Grant program provides local organizations with financial support for projects significantly contributing toward the promotion of the arts, culture and heritage in the Brazos Valley. The City of College Station Hotel OccupancyTax revenues generously sponsor the annual operating grant program.
Eligible Groups
These grants are available to ACBV affiliate members who are not-for-profit under IRS Section 501(c)(3), chartered in the State of Texas and doing business and presenting programs in College Station, Bryan and Brazos County.
Eligible Use of Funds
Organizations applying for funding through the Arts Council of Brazos Valley’s Annual Program Operating Grant program must comply with the following two-part test as stipulated by the State of Texas Hotel Occupancy Tax revenue use guidelines:
- Every expenditure must directly enhance and promote tourism and the hotel and convention industry
- Expenditures must fall into one of the following categories:
- Paying the administrative costs for facilitating convention registration.
- Paying for advertising, solicitation, and promotional programs that attract tourists and convention delegates to the city or its vicinity.
- Expenditures that promote the arts.
- Funding historical restoration and preservation projects or activities or advertising and conducting solicitation and promotional programs to encourage tourists and convention delegates to visit preserved historic sites or museums.

Schedule
The application cycle generally uses the following schedule:
- Mandatory workshops for grant applications will be held on June 29, 2010 at 5:30 p.m. and July 15, 2010 at 10:00 a.m.
- Applications are due (post marked or delivered) to the Arts Council office by July 30, 2010. Late applications will not be considered.
- Grant review panel public hearings/meetings will be held on August 26, 2010.
- ACBV Board and review panel meet to determine final awards in September.
- Awards are announced upon final review through the College Station City Council.
