Executive Director Padraic L. Fisher Resigns

Padraic L. Fisher, the executive director of the Arts Council of the Brazos Valley, has resigned. announced Carol A. Wagner, president of the Board of Directors.

Fisher, who has served as the organization's executive director since 2006, tenured his resignation today, said Wagner.


"On behalf of the entire board of directors, we wish Mr. Fisher well in his future endeavors," said Wagner.  "He is a talented and creative individual with diverse skills."

Brazos Valley Art Teachers' Exhibition

Calling all art teachers in the Brazos Valley! You are invited to participate in the second annual Art Teachers of the Brazos Valley Texas Gallery exhibition during April 2009. Artwork will be accepted at the Arts Council of Brazos Valley March 25-27, 2009.

A reception will be held on Thursday, April 7th from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm.

Arts Council of Brazos Valley Presents Arts of Asia II Exhibit

The Arts of Asia II exhibit is on display now through February 26 at the Texas Gallery, located in the Arts Center, 2275 Dartmouth St., College Station, Texas. This premier exhibit features items on loan from the George Bush Presidential Library and Museum, as well as items from the private collections of Mark Barratt, Padraic Fisher, Joe Northrop, Marilyn Shepherd and others.

A reception will be held on Thursday, February 12th from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm.
